Ms. Celina Knippling has over nine years of experience conducting compliance and operational reviews of state and municipal agencies and analyzing data from large and complex relational databases. A former Senior Auditor Evaluator with the California State Auditor’s office, Ms. Knippling has a broad knowledge base in conducting financial, compliance, and performance audits. Ms. Knippling is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Masters of Professional Accountancy from the University of South Dakota.
Since joining MGT, Ms. Knippling has been involved in numerous investigative audits which have focused on misuse of funds and assets, funding irregularities, compensation irregularities, and administrative issues.
While working at the State Auditor’s Office, Ms. Knippling conducted audits for state and local agencies in California, including audits of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority, University of California, California Department of Health Services, and California Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Knippling received the State Auditor’s Excellence Award for her performance on the University of California audit. Prior to working with the California State Auditor’s office, Ms. Knippling worked in South Dakota performing single audits of tribal governments, extracting and compiling financial statements and completing tax returns for not-for-profit organizations and tribal governments.
Ms. Knippling also has extensive experience producing research and statistical studies and working with data analysis tools such as SAS and ACL to extract and summarize data from large data sets.
