Revenue Enhancement Assessment Program
MGT's Revenue Enhancement Assessment Program (REAP) provides opportunities for the identification of new revenue sources for your college or university. Identification of new sources of revenue and opportunities to increase the amount of revenue realized from existing sources should be an integral part of your on-going planning and assessment efforts.
Major Features of REAP Approach
- A diagnostic review. Our approach is designed to provide institutional leaders with a clear understanding of the untapped potential for each major stream of revenue.
- A determination of potential untapped revenue. Our approach includes interpretative analysis of the institution’s own data (e.g., trend analysis), comparative financial analyses with selected peer institutions, and consideration of best practices found within the higher education industry.
- Recommendations for action based on an "Institutional Revenue Philosophy." Depending on the mission and values of the institution and its local traditions, certain revenue sources are likely to be inappropriate for some colleges and universities (e.g., sale of alcoholic beverages on campus). MGT’s approach helps campus leaders frame an institutional revenue philosophy.
- Detailed implementation plans for specific identified revenue streams.
- Staff with specific experience in the revenue streams under investigation assigned to the project team. All of our project team members have considerable experience in consulting with institutions, and many held senior leadership positions on campuses before joining MGT.
